Gov. Deval Patrick yesterday signed a supplemental budget for FY11 that appropriates $65 million in additional local aid for cities and towns.
The funds will be distributed Monday, Oct. 31, and this is no trick.
The Division of Local Services has published the individual city and town distribution as part of a DLS bulletin released today.
The additional local aid may be used as estimated receipts when setting the FY12 tax rate, may be appropriated as an available fund during FY12, or may be rolled over into free cash at the start of FY13.
As part of the supplemental budget, the Governor also signed provisions providing $6.2 million to cities and towns that sustained damage, and expenses, during the December 2008 ice storm, and $10 million to communities hit by the June 1 tornado for expenses not reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
